Dr Hinkle 235 classThe GCOMM department offers multiple paths for individuals pursuing both career paths and education in Graphic Communication. From the two-year Associate Degree to the mini-certificates, there is a program to fit every individual's aspirations.

While we encourage students to pursue a certificate or a degree, there is no requirement for declaring a major. Students may enroll in any class after meeting the pre-requisites.

Associate Degree

ScreenprintingThe two-year Graphic Communication Associate Degree is intended to develop the skills, knowledge, and experience essential to a career in the printing and publishing industry. In preparation for the demands of the workplace, this degree provides training in all aspects of image capture and manipulation, vector graphic design and creation, e-book and website development, 3-D animation, as well as production planning and management, hands-on equipment operation, and more!

Digital Publishing CertificateCircles

GraduateThis one-year Digital Publishing Certificate provides students with the skills needed to work in areas involving print and digital publishing. Using computers and a variety of software, the students will learn about digital photography, image scanning, page layout, preforming typeset, image manipulation, production planning and press operation, e-book development, web page creation, vector graphic development, screen-printing, 3-D animation, as well as vehicle graphics creation and application.
